the story
Hi! I’m Annie, the owner of sugarcoatcases. I’ve always been into decoden phone cases and started creating my own during the 2020 lockdown.
'sugarcoatcases' is inspired by the decoden style—'deco' stands for decorated, and 'den' is short for 'denwa,' which means 'phone' in Japanese.
sugarcoatcases’ products are designed to be unique so that everyone who uses them can embrace their unique style & identity & to not fit into the crowd 💗✨🫶
design sketches
the design process starts off with initial sketches of how toppings will sit on the phone case and looking at the whole composition of the design
clay toppings
the next step is to mould the toppings from Japanese clay using a variety of clay sculpting tools
final details
the final step is adding the colouring using acrylic paints and paintbrushes and then sealing everything off with either a gloss or a matte sheen
finished product
the finished product is all sealed & ready to be packaged in the candy bar packaging!

all items are packaged in either pink boxes or bubble envelopes & shipped with tracked & signed for shipping 🫧🩷
