what's in the tool pot? 🎨

In today's blog post, I will be going through all the tools I have in my tools pot!

The first tool I have is the stipple brush which I use to add texture to clay. This brush creates a mottled texture which makes the toppings look more realistic as things don't look as smooth as clay in real life

This pointed sculpting tool is used to add dotted textures or holes such as bubbles or air pockets

The liner brush is used to paint finer details which require a smooth & really thin fine line. Using this paintbrush requires a lot of steadiness and control to achieve a straight line!

This flat shader brush is used to paint without streaks as the brush is a bigger size which covers the surface area more

Just like baking with 'real' cakes & whipping cream, I use this baking spatula to mix whipped cream and to put the cream into piping bags ready to pipe!

This paint mixing spatula is used to mix colours and mixing whipped cream

This round brush is used to apply varnish including matte and gloss as it picks up the varnish well. It also has a pointed end which means that the varnish can be applied more precisely and accurate on toppings with sharp edges & corners such as strawberries

The filbert brush is used to apply pastels to clay as it is flat so you can smooth and blend the pastels into the clay to achieve a smooth blended finish

The most used tool in my tool pot! I use this to cut clay to achieve a sharp edge as well as carving out fine thin details

I keep all the tools in this cute pastel pink Pantone pot as it matches the shop's pink aesthetic! 💖
